The Asrock z390 Steel Legend meets the requirements as the specs indicate support for 128GB RAM. I manage a cluster of ARK:SO games and rearranged the four sticks, but it keeps assigning 2/3 of them as 8GB. Currently I have a mix of 3 sticks at 16GB, one at 32GB (with controller sticks), and a single stick at 1GB. All functioned well in my previous Z370 Asrock Killer before the upgrade. Placing a 16GB stick in A2 only shows 8GB, while putting it all on the board reveals up to 64GB total. I updated the BIOS and firmware, and my wife's PC recognizes them without issues. Mixing with her 3200 sticks reduced speeds slightly but confirmed the correct capacities. I’m open to further details or advice.

Check if the RAM is configured for JEDEC speed (standard or XMP) and see if it boots successfully.

I could easily be wrong, but Windows might be limiting you. I know it has a RAM limit for 10 Home, so (and check before you actually do) upgrading to 10 Pro might fix your problem

I've attempted to start the system using XMP, manual, and Auto modes. I'll look into the methods you recommend.

If unsure, simply reset the CMOS to restore everything to its original state (JEDEC guidelines). No issues expected.
