I checked the details of the built-in audio and saw it supports up to 600 ohms. I’m curious—has anyone used high-impedance headphones with this motherboard before? Or does anyone know if it works well with them? Sharing experiences could help decide if an amplifier is still needed.

You’ll need an amplifier at the minimum, as there’s clearly a distinction between on-board and sound card with a built-in DAC. An AE-5 is a budget-friendly choice. Feel free to test the built-in system before committing.

After posting this i found the AKG K702's which are only 62ohms compared to the 250ohm range that i was thinking of getting before. I think the onboard should be just fine driving these unless im missing something.
