Zen is the first model, while Ryzen 1200 AE is Zen. Ryzen 1200 AF matches the Ryzen 2000 lineup. X570 isn't compatible with Ryzen first-gen chips.

On the AsRock website the CPU support list indicates that Ryzen 1200 is compatible starting from BIOS version P2.80. The main reason I purchased it was because of this support. If not, I could easily sell it.

Two versions of the Ryzen 3 1200 exist: one with a later "AF" Zen+ model, and another with an earlier "AE" Zen variant. The latter seems incompatible with the former.

Hey there, you didn’t get the meaning of 191x7 right. Now I understand the issue. That’s just my mistakeSmile). I didn’t notice the “AF” at the end of the SKU. But if I buy a Ryzen 2600, it should work fine? I don’t think there’s a Ryzen 2600AF either.

AF identifies the Summit Ridge core, meaning all Ryzen 5 2600 models fit this, and they should work if listed on the support roster.
