I assembled a computer recently and everything worked until about two days ago. I experienced audio distortion and odd glitches where programs and text appeared to resize unexpectedly. There were also strange visual issues in games, such as flickering or sprites scaling wildly. After testing with Reaper and the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, I encountered severe crackling and an unusable recording. I attempted to fix the audio drivers, changed cables and ports, even switched interfaces, but the problem persisted. I looked up a tool called latencymon which indicated the Nvidia driver was slow—though the numbers were lower than reported. At that stage, I decided to reinstall Windows since it was a fresh setup. I ran multiple memory tests, but the issue remained. All components except the 3060ti seemed new, so I suspected a hardware fault. The CPU and motherboard specs matched what I had, yet the problem continued. I’m unsure if it’s related to the processor or motherboard, or something else entirely.

Couldn't resolve the problem directly, but I faced comparable challenges that I solved by rolling back a Windows security update, reinstalling most drivers, and removing the Armoury Crate. I was experiencing a blue screen every day for two weeks, but after following the steps I mentioned earlier, issues disappeared. If that doesn’t help, try connecting to another monitor or using a different display cable, as some users reported similar problems due to a faulty or low-quality cable somewhere in their setup.

I haven't set up Armory Crate yet, I'm considering rolling back the security patches but have already installed the drivers several times.
