Hello, your purchase of the ASRock B450M-Pro4 didn't work as expected. The system won't retain time even after changing the UEFI settings twice. It seems there might be an issue with the motherboard itself.

Replace the CMOS battery and swap the coin cell in the two PCIe ports.

It does not retain the overclock or any configurations you adjust in the BIOS.

I didn’t attempt to speed up the processor. Could the issue stem from unplugging the power supply and pressing a button to discharge the electricity, then reconnecting it? I also needed to open the case to insert a cable. It’s either a brand-new motherboard or it was stored in the warehouse for a long time.

I'd explain it in simpler terms—what you're referring to is when the board fails to maintain or hold something in place.

I’ll try again—maybe the issue occurred after you disconnected the power supply.

The CMOS battery has run out of power, leaving the motherboard without any energy to keep the clock and BIOS settings active. This is why removing the CMOS battery can reset all BIOS configurations completely.

Bios indicates the battery voltage should be 3.3v. If it drops below 3v, change it. Windows aligns its time with the BIOS. Adjust the time in Windows according to your location, then verify in BIOS after restarting.
