I'm wondering why I'm feeling a bit anxious after that 00 error on an X99 setup with a 5820K. I'm still unsure if the CPU or the motherboard was affected. I was using a Noctua NH-D15S, and I recently bought a X299 system over a year ago. I thought sticking to ASUS's built-in tools would be safer than doing it myself, since I'm not confident in my own troubleshooting now. My ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe II has an Intel Core i9 9940X with 14 cores and 64GB RAM (quad channel). The Trident Z Royal is set to XMP 3200MHz with Noctua NH-D15S Auto O.C., which is currently at 39% of the BIOS settings, adjusting from 3.3GHz to 4.2GHz across all cores. Temperatures stay under 80°C even when stressed. The system has been running smoothly for months. Just don't want it to fail or wear out my motherboard. What if I get another 00 error? Should I be okay?

The auto OC operates at a specific voltage when under load. If you prefer not to adjust manually and the auto OC doesn't respond well to higher voltages, you can keep it as is unless you need faster clocks. For higher performance, observe the auto OC behavior, then match those settings gradually while lowering the voltage slightly. Be careful not to exceed safe limits for CPU or RAM, as that could damage the processor.

It was just Auto Oc. I thought it wouldn’t push things into dangerous territory if it was made by the board manufacturer.
