PC configuration: Asus Prime X570-P board, Ryzen 7 5800X processor, Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO, dual 8GB DDR4 3200 RAM sticks, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10G, 512GB SSD with Silicon Power, A80 2TB WD Blue WD20SPZX, 750W AeroCool LUX Bronze case, 23.8mm Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1A, Corsair 4000D airflow with two fans pre-installed. I aim to provide a thorough account, should have missed anything important.

About two days ago, my first PC setup encountered a boot issue. The monitor showed "DisplayPort NO SIGNAL." After checking the CPU fan connections, adjusting speeds in BIOS, and installing Windows 10 Pro on the SSD without activation, the problem persisted. I attempted a driver update for the graphics card, but after restarting and booting in safe mode, the display went black again.

Research led me to discover that I needed to boot Windows in safe mode and completely remove the GPU driver, allowing it to run via its default driver. I configured Windows to boot in safe mode from the System Configuration, reset BIOS settings, and verified power delivery. However, the system still booted from the hard drive instead of the SSD, prompting a restart.

Despite several attempts—switching cables, ports, reseating components, and even trying a different PCIe x16 slot—I still couldn’t resolve the DisplayPort and HDMI signals. I also tried cleaning the motherboard, removing the mouse/keyboard, and checking for loose connections.

The only components I haven’t changed are the power supplies and RAM. The core issue remains unsolved, leaving me frustrated and uncertain about next steps. I’m seeking advice to overcome this persistent problem.

Power on in safe mode and check if the SSD partition is present in Partition Manager. If missing, follow these steps: either boot from admin CMD and run "bcdboot C:\Windows /s C: /f ALL", then restart without the SSD, or reinstall Windows with only the SSD connected. Some motherboards may automatically install boot partitions on the closest SATA drive, even if it's not the M.2 SSD or the intended drive.

No, I didn't remove the power. You mentioned it when clearing the CMOS.

Thank you for your patience. I'm having trouble displaying anything beyond "DisplayPort NO SIGNAL." I can't start Windows in safe mode, load a USB drive, or access the BIOS settings.

Ensure the onboard graphics are configured without GPU or boot settings.

I might have attempted it if the situation had changed.

Avoid unnecessary components and focus only on essential parts to access the BIOS.
