We can automatically or choose to gather information from your game to verify if someone is hacking or ghosting. By using the server, you are allowing us to do this. + why would they need malware or something else?
They likely are checking your game folder for anything unusual, especially in competitive CSGO. No malware is needed to trigger this. GTA V does the same and will remove you if it finds extra or altered files.
My guess is it's okay if it's a trustworthy source like EA or Riot; they'll only do that when someone recommends you. I thought they might monitor things like your voice or keystrokes...
Is this the official Valve server? If not, perhaps skip checking. I'm just a newbie in GMod.
GMOD operates its own servers, similar to CSGO community servers.
If it's from Valve, it should be fine. I really appreciate Valve for their privacy features.
You just removed all your GMOD files, so I guess you're okay with that. However, it still feels pretty suspicious.
