Final choice made. LDLC versus Fnatic will be replayed because of texture transparency and an immortal bug from both sides. That CSGO comp really fell flat. Updated: Fnatic opted to drop due to unfair criticism and lack of enjoyment. I know it wasn’t their decision. They remain the scumbags in my view.
They obviously cheated, it's clear. I'm sure they'll be corrected soon.
They shouldn't have cheated initially. They could simply play by the rules.
It seems both sides might have been involved in some form of unfair advantage, but the rules don’t allow automatic disqualification for both. Instead, only one team is penalized, and the winner faces the runner-up in a rematch to determine the final outcome.
I also dislike the choice made. They should have run a rematch starting in the second half with identical scores. Or even better, DQ’d Fnatic. Still, Dreamhack likely acted fairly, though not in the right way. No, only Fnatic took it. They lack honesty and respect for the game and fellow competitors. It highlights just how much they might be capable of, backed by solid evidence, and how indifferent they appear to be toward the overall experience.
The only reason it wasn't a 12-3 half start for LDLC was because smithzz performed a boost on ct spawn that violated the rule about seeing through textures, though the impact of that action wasn't important. As a result, Fnatic filed a complaint and the DH admins chose to reset it back to zero.
However, the Smithzz truck boost wasn’t about pixel walking—it was a different kind of advantage. He only viewed part of the map, making it improbable he’d secure a kill during that phase and potentially affecting the overall strategy in Fnatic. It’s reasonable to expect the situation to be reset to round one. Are there any updates on the new map? Or would both sides agree not to implement this boost?
I understand your point. I concur that the choice is serious and, at the very least, we should let the community know we’re upset.
