Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well. First of all, please don’t worry about my language or spelling—I’m not from an English-speaking country. I just wanted to ask this question after seeing many people receive positive feedback and helpful answers here. Last summer I purchased a new gaming laptop for around the price I expected. It came with a solid set of specs, so I thought it would work well for PC gaming. But when I tried playing PUBG on it, especially at low settings, the performance was terrible. The frame rates hovered between 20 and 45 fps, and there was constant stuttering during movement or combat. This made the game frustrating to play, as smooth gameplay is essential for enjoying the experience. I’m wondering if my PC might not be suitable for running PUBG properly, or if I made a mistake by buying this device. Thanks for your understanding.
Best regards,
Rainy

I don't use PUGB games, so I'm not sure how well they're optimized. My laptop has specs from the previous generation. The current system is likely an Intel 8th gen or AMD Ryzen Mobile, and the graphics card is a Nvidia MX150. For smoother gaming, you'd need at least a quad-core processor with HT or 6 cores, plus a GTX1050 or better. On the AMD side, there are Intel CPUs paired with AMD RX Vega GPUs.

In the game, a 950m isn't enough. I once had a 1050 ti when it launched, using some early commands and after shading, I managed about 70 fps on very low settings. It felt quite smooth. Then I upgraded to a 1070ti, which let me play at 1080p ultra with steady 60fps. That shows just how poorly the game was optimized. My friend uses a desktop 970 and plays medium, getting around 60 fps. I’d say choosing this laptop for PG would have been a mistake—otherwise it’s a solid machine. Also, desktops usually have more powerful CPUs, often with 4 cores and 8 threads instead of the 2 cores and 4 threads found on laptops.

950M corresponds to MX150 performance. With this GPU you can achieve over 30 FPS at the lowest settings in 720p. But the main constraint here is the CPU—2c4t ULV will likely cause a bottleneck. In my view, 8GB RAM may not perform well in PUBG (12+GB recommended) and the 2GB VRAM is insufficient, especially at the lowest settings. It’s best to wait for laptops with 8250U or higher MX150 models.
