Yes, it would work well. The board supports the Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1080ti without issues.

What's the budget? Avoid the x370/470 unless it's very affordable; B450 or 550 would be a better choice.

No, it's not that kind of setup. The system is designed for a 6-core processor, which isn't the most demanding configuration. Avoid spending extra on components that aren't necessary.
