Hi,
My computer recently experienced crashes while playing demanding games, would restart but never displayed properly. I shared this problem in forums and tried numerous fixes, including upgrading to a new 1050watt gold plus PSU from a reputable brand, but the issue persisted. I’ve already explored many solutions suggested by others. The reason for writing is that today I discovered my GPU (6900xt merc 319) has a default boost clock of 2340MHz, while mine is set to 2599MHz. After attempting a clean driver reinstall, it remained at 2599MHz. I’m wondering if this setting might be contributing to the problem and what steps I should take next?

When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's important to provide your complete system specifications. List them clearly as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

Please include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. Also, mention the BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.

If you're switching to a new PSU, tell me the new model's make and model, as well as the make, model, and age of the previous one.

I've discussed this extensively in forums and tried many solutions, but nothing resolved the issue. I've already explored various options that others recommended.

Techpowerup offers three distinct BIOS versions for that card, with boost clock defaults set at 2365 and 2495 for the "Limited Black" edition.
However, these are just the base settings; the boost algorithm can likely exceed them if power and temperature conditions permit.
A frequency range of 2700-2800Mhz seems typical.
The card also includes two vBIOS options, so you should be able to switch between them if you haven't already.
You might also consider slightly underclocking to test its impact, as both GPU and GPU memory speeds can be modified. This could be a useful experiment.
