It seems many PC gamers today are overly focused on adjusting every setting in the graphics menu. These options appear more like marketing tactics than useful features. People with top-tier GPUs don’t rely on them.

Guys I am in a pickle cuz of this. I do want the best of both worlds. Though there is no "best choice" in that case - in the end I think it would be a personal preferense. I thought to just see which of the new HBM cards perform best in Star Citizen and some other titles and then buy.

Developers consistently push for improved performance, yet the situation remains uneven. While AMD's TressFX is accessible to developers and HairWorks isn't, nVidia achieved comparable optimization levels. GameWorks remains opaque to AMD, making it hard to assess. Ultimately, gameworks isn't a major concern, but this perspective helps maintain progress. "Most NVIDIA titles function well on AMD hardware," most games run smoothly on AMD systems, and if performance gaps emerge, they'll be addressed quickly.

Microsoft can be halted if Steam limits games to its own platform, which seems likely for gamers. NVIDIA appears to be reversing progress in graphics technology since the GT 610, which offers superior efficiency and performance. I’ve tested Batman Arkham Knight on a GT660 and noticed better results there compared to older models. It seems NVIDIA is focusing backward rather than forward in tech development. Deadrising 2 performs well on the GT660 but not as much on the 970Ti. In Walking Dead: Michonne, the GT660 handles it smoothly while the 970Ti struggles.

A 970ti? When did that come out?

Check out this intriguing video about NVidia and AMD cards. Let's see what they're talking about! What's the big deal? These cards don't seem to work well with Gameworks, right? You'd need a top-tier GPU to really enjoy these features? Sounds like a wild claim!

This was just one of my points; I wasn't taking sides. Some games are made for AMD or use AMD technology and still have problems with Nvidia cards—possibly because it hasn't been addressed yet. I don’t back this approach, but I think companies should collaborate to fix it. Alternatively, the tech could be open source, or there might be a financial deal to share resources.

It's tough to see those targets, isn't it?

There’s no evidence in that video at all. I don’t trust every random homemade benchmark list.
