This initial creation.
Greetings! This marks my initial post, and I’m hoping to follow the proper procedure.
I'm seeking guidance on my initial PC construction – I’ve already selected all the parts, but would appreciate an assessment from experienced builders regarding potential issues with my component choices.
My selections are: Corsair 570x case, Intel i7-8700k processor, NVIDIA RTX 2080 graphics card, Corsair RM750 power supply (I'm uncertain about its wattage suitability), 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM, Corsair H100i RGB liquid cooler, a 500GB Samsung SSD and a 2TB hard drive. The motherboard is an Asus Z390 Maximus.
I plan to incorporate RGB lighting strips, though I haven’t yet determined the specific type. This is my first time building a PC and engaging in PC gaming, so I intend to proceed cautiously and explore overclocking possibilities in the future. However, I’m concerned that my cooling solution might not adequately manage heat levels during overclocking attempts. I'd also like to confirm whether my power supply unit provides sufficient wattage for the system’s demands.
My budget is $2,500, excluding the monitor and keyboard/mouse – all components are currently within this limit, leaving room for upgrades if suggested. I welcome any recommendations or feedback on potential problems I might encounter; your insights would be greatly appreciated. (I admit, I’m a significant admirer of Corsair products.)
The power supply unit provides ample capacity with reserves. A single RTX 2080 necessitates a total system power of approximately 650 watts, which is considered a conservative estimate. The cooling solution is similarly well-suited. I utilize an 8700k processor with a Cryorig H7 cooler, and the CPU maintains temperatures below 60 degrees Celsius during gameplay, even when running demanding modern titles. The overall build appears satisfactory.
