My GPU displays zero wattage even when under stress. Games function properly but no power consumption appears. I've checked various applications such as msi ab and hwinfo, and even the nvidia overlay doesn't show any usage. What might be the problem? Please let me know if I missed anything.

Specs: CPU - I5-7300HQ, GPU GTX1050 4GB shows 75 tdp in CPU-Z. RAM - 16GB at 2400mhz.
Check if your laptop has any pending BIOS updates. With GPU-Z, look for fields displaying zero(0)'s and verify if error code 43 appears in Device Manager. Please specify the operating system you're using. For drivers, use DDU to remove all GPU drivers (intel, AMD, Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then install the newest GPU driver from Nvidia's support site via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
You haven't changed the BIOS for your laptop? Right-click start, then Device Manager, and check if the GPU shows a yellow warning sign? GPU-Z is an app; you can find more info at https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/. It works similarly to CPU-Z.

As I mentioned, games are running smoothly with good FPS, but no GPU power is being drawn

When the laptop is outdated, two potential issues could be responsible. First, there might be a mismatch between the old BIOS version and the current monitoring software. Second, the sensor may have stopped functioning and is no longer providing power consumption data.
