I received my Asus TUF gaming 4070ti Super OC edition yesterday and it functioned properly for two hours of gaming. Then I started watching a TV show on Prime, but now I see a black screen. When I try to boot, the VGA LED appears on the motherboard but there’s no display. I’ve reset the GPU, changed the CMOS, tried various power settings and cables, but I’m unsure what to do. Is it dead? Should I consider returning it? My previous GPU still works in the same system, its graphics also function, though it doesn’t appear in Windows at all. The LED next to the power cables is working, and the RGB is enabled in Windows 11. The Asus TUF gaming B650 with Wi-Fi is running BIOS 3024, paired with AMD 7900X Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64GB (6000MHz), EVGA 750 G2, and an 80 Plus Gold power supply. Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360mm is also installed.

It seems you've completed all the necessary actions. I recommend returning or swapping it soon...

I switched from a 2x8pin (6+2) cable to the new 12pin+4 setup. I’ll reinsert everything and check the power supply side. Consider using different VGA connectors on the PSU side. Updated October 18, 2024 by leclod

It looks like the graphics card isn't working with another GPU or built-in one.

I possess two cables originating from the power supply unit—VGA 8-pin connectors on the input side and a 6+2 pin configuration on the output side. These connectors pass through an adapter manufactured by ASUS, which transforms them into a 12-pin setup.

It feels odd that it functions briefly before stopping, especially without any strenuous activity.

I've tested various PCIe slots, both pairs of PSU VGA power connectors, multiple display cables, and different power cables. The last thing I considered was updating my BIOS.

Yes, I checked that the 12-pin cable is securely connected.

There was a brief click with no visible gap. I tested it using the Cyberpunk benchmark, and everything worked smoothly until suddenly the screen went black. The computer didn’t shut down at all. Amazon suggested printing a shipping label and sending it back for a refund after two weeks, but they’re currently unreachable. Asus isn’t available for contact.
