Hello everyone! I’m a Swedish person who thinks I’m pretty good with computers, but I’m stuck on this issue and really need your help. I just upgraded my PC and bought everything except a new graphics card. Here’s what I have: CPU – i7 6700K, Corsair H75 MOBO, RAM – Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x8GB, GPU – GeForce GTX 770, PSU – Fractal Design EDISON M 750W, HDDs – Samsung 120GB SSD and a 1TB drive, running Windows 10. Now, whenever I do something “graphic heavy” like Witcher 3 or Rust, I get a message saying the graphics driver has stopped working and reset. I’ve tried everything: wiped drivers, downclocked the card (worked on my old rig for Rust), checked the drives and RAM. I’m feeling pretty stressed and might just give up and hit my pillow. Could someone help me out? Any advice or info would be a huge relief! Thanks a lot!

Did you apply DDU? The temperatures seem normal. Could there be an issue with the PSU providing sufficient power at full load? Perhaps the connectors need inspection. When a driver report comes in, it’s unlikely the GPU is unstable—otherwise you’d see artifacts or crashes. Welcome to the forum!

Sure, I'm keeping an eye on things with MSI Afterburner. It's looking good so far. I did mention that the game often crashes and there are some minor glitches just before those crashes. I've been following Linus' content for a while now and thought I could ask for help here.

It would be unusual for the chip to become unstable after only three years. Perhaps increase the voltage slightly while lowering the clock speed simultaneously. If this improves the situation, it might indicate the chip is in poor condition. Your GPU could be suggesting you upgrade to an RX 480.

Consider swapping out the graphics card if needed, and use a pencil eraser to gently remove any dirt from the contacts. This could help if it’s struggling with poor connections due to heavy use.

It seems the settings aren't updating despite applying them.

Certainly, if that means removing the drivers via DDU or similar, then yes.

Consider reaching out to Gainward's support team—they're often very useful.

He also mentioned that I removed the card, reinserted it, and Rust didn’t crash. I plan to run more tests tomorrow. I don’t want to inflate my expectations just yet!
