You're looking to assemble a new PC within a budget-friendly price range, focusing on an AMD build. You're unsure about the best CPU choice, especially since you don't stream or edit media. The R5 3600 is a solid option for gaming, offering good performance without breaking the bank.

Which GPU should I match it with? It matters when setting up a PC to ensure the CPU and GPU are used equally, avoiding unnecessary costs or savings.

You're welcome! I understand what you need right now. Perhaps there are alternatives you could consider. Since you're using a 1080p TV, it might help to check if your device supports higher resolutions or adjust settings accordingly. Let me know if you'd like more ideas!

Here’s a revised version:
It seems you're seeking alternatives. Perhaps there are options available. I'm using a 1080p display, but unfortunately I don't have a suitable screen right now.

You have plenty of options for a 1080p graphics card. On one side, the top-tier choice is the RX 5600 XT, offering solid performance at 1080p high and even medium 1440p. I find it to be an excellent option. You can also upgrade to newer models like the RX 570 4Gb or RX 580 8Gb, though the former might not last long. A good deal on a 590 is also worth considering. In another range, the 1660 Super provides 1080p high and 1440p medium, while the 1650 Super focuses more on 1080p with a square profile. Going back a generation, the 1060 6Gb and possibly the 1070 are available if you can find a good price. The 1050ti is another possibility, though it has generally been a poor value. The most practical step is to check your budget and local pricing.

Good guidance here. A 980ti remains a solid option if the offer is favorable. I find it challenging to suggest a 5600xt at its current cost. It only offers 6gb of VRAM, while a Vega 64 model is available for a lower price with 8gb. For a bit more, you can opt for a standard 5700. Six gigabytes of VRAM isn’t a limitation anymore for 1080p or 1440p, though it will become a concern at 4k. It’s going to increasingly become a challenge. At the price point of the 5600xt, it becomes difficult to recommend that card when other choices in the same range provide 8gb.
