Can I add the ability for Google Drive to manage PDF files directly? When I linked a Google Drive folder using Ocamlfuse on CentOS with my GitHub repo, Git became very slow at working through it. Is there another way around this problem? Thanks!

It probably depends on what's inside those PDFs. Most PDFs made from text files are just like a regular text file—you can open them with Notepad. But many PDFs are special binary files, and (probably) Google doesn't know how to "diff" these so they don't show differences.

Is just the .pdf files causing problems? I think not, it's probably all kinds of files. But since you meant specifically about .pdfs, it makes sense to check them just to be safe. Here is a link with some examples: https://astrada.github.io/google-drive-ocamlfuse/ And there are even more details in that wiki page linked inside it

It only works when using pdf files, not regular text files.

It might depend on what's inside those PDFs. A lot of PDFs made from text files act just like plain text files—you can open them with Notepad. But many are actually binary files, and (probably) Google doesn't know how to compare them to find differences.
