You're experiencing significant performance drops when running BrawlHalla on Arch Linux compared to Windows. This is likely due to differences in system resources, kernel tuning, and software compatibility. Checking your hardware specs, ensuring you have enough RAM and a solid CPU, and reviewing Lutris' configuration settings might help improve stability.

How's the game going? Which GPU are you using? Do you have the right drivers installed?

Avoid using Lutris; the game is available on Steam and works best with Proton. It has a Gold rating on Protondb and should function properly.

The GPU is built into the AMD A8. I’m unsure which drivers are required. Could you clarify your question? What do you mean by: "Well how are you running the game?"

They clarify that you don't directly control or operate with protons. Instead, you activate proton features in Steam settings and then play the game normally on Windows as you would any other application.

Have you set up everything for AMD, especially the Vulkan runtime? Run AMD pacman with the listed packages: lib32-mesa, xf86-video-amdgpu, vulkan-radeon, lib32-vulkan-radeon, libva-mesa-driver, lib32-libva-mesa-driver, mesa-vdpau, and lib32-mesa-vdpau. It's wise to install Wine and most optional dependencies as well. Proton will handle some of these if available. I'm not sure precisely what is required yet. Then run pacman -S wine and its optional items.
