I'm not looking into the launch details or the game's issues, but I want to know if No Man's Sky remains a good value at $35 (previously $60) on Steam. There seems to be a recent major update, and I've only watched the Steam store video so far. I'm wondering if the many negative reviews still reflect its current state. Overall, I'm unsure if it's worth my time and money.

It wasn’t great at all—those pretty colors, scenery, and dinosaurs weren’t exactly what I needed. Still, I managed to get a refund via Steam!

You can always purchase the original version and the refreshed edition if you're not satisfied. In today's context, it's best to view a gameplay with the latest update and assess your own experience.

If you enjoy discovering new things, I recommend giving it a try. If it doesn’t suit you, simply return it. Approach it with an open mind and let the game show you what it can do before you decide to refund. Hope this is helpful.

I imagine I might grab it later for $5 to $10, hoping to spend some time capturing great photos. But honestly, it doesn’t feel like a good deal at $35.
