Hello everyone, I play PC games and use my Xbox One to enjoy games with my dad, who is 65. We usually play battlefield titles because they’re simple for him. The main issue is the upcoming BF 2042 release. My dad says he won’t buy a new Xbox since he doesn’t want to support Microsoft anymore, but he still wants us to have those weekly gaming sessions. I’d like to try the new BF and I’m okay with getting an Xbox for him. The only decision is whether to get an Xbox Series S (maybe too much for him) or a medium-rated PC. If we go with a PC, what should we look for? The only drawback is I’m unsure if it would be too hard for him to handle the games. It’s not a big deal for me—I have patience and can’t be there to load the games for him (he lives 1500 miles away).

Choose the Xbox for better support when issues arise. Someone unfamiliar with computer upkeep may struggle more.

It would definitely be easier on the console, particularly if he’s familiar with it. A good PC with a GPU is currently more expensive than necessary.

I’m certain to get him a Series S. I’ve spotted them at Walmart a couple of times. At this price it’s a solid offer, and it makes a great early gift for Dad.
