I already have this title. I purchased it quite affordably to finish the collection. But I'm focusing on actually playing games that fit well in my collection. I just wrapped up Arkham Asylum this week (the boss fights are pretty disappointing) and will start Arkham City tonight. A lot of people say Arkham Asylum stands out because of the Scarecrow elements that give it extra character. Others mention Arkham Origins isn't as strong as the first two. Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation review notes that even though the setting is the whole city, it feels more contained than Arkham City (which takes place in a smaller area). So if most opinions seem accurate, is Arkham Origins still worth playing now, or should I save it for later when I crave more Batman-themed adventures?

I still enjoy the whole series, so it's definitely worth playing. Just one boss fight bothers me a lot.

I've tried every Batman Series title so far... and Arkham Origins isn't as terrible as it was rumored to be. Even after six months, there were still many bugs left. The gameplay isn't terrible—it just felt a bit lacking. I might be off, since I played and completed it some time ago, and opinions can vary. So why not give it a try?

It's interesting to hear about your experience. Have you noticed any issues when you travel quickly and move through different places? (Origins)

For anyone hunting for hints before diving in, keep these in mind. I'm sharing this because it might catch some players off guard after a quick search. Playing it first would have been better, but I guess perspective helps. Appreciate the insights!

Many players criticized it for not meeting their expectations, not because the game was poor. It isn't a complete Arkham title, but its unique development makes sense. Regardless, it doesn’t appear to be a poorly made game, so there’s no need to waste your time playing it.

Nope, some boss battles in Asylum weren’t great, but overall they’re the least challenging part of the series. Honestly, the first boss in the original game was the one that really bothered me because of its mechanics.

I was really into Asylum more than Arkham City... I played it twice, never finished City, not even once...

I completed every Arkham title and have to admit Origins isn't as terrible as some claim. The boss fights were decent, though a bit repetitive; the gameplay required some skill, especially in the overworld. Mechanics weren't flashy, but it was okay for a prequel. Optional challenges were enjoyable, and playing as Deathstroke was a nice touch—it's not too long, so it's worth a try if you already own it. The graphics are also solid and give the game a unique feel compared to others.

Unless you had a strong dislike for the villains in the game, it might be better to skip it.
