I know a spot where you can find The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut for $7. Is it a good value? I recall trying the free weekend edition on Steam, but it quickly lost its appeal. What about the visual quality? Do I have to play the original game first to grasp the story in the sequel? (It doesn't really matter since I’ll play the first one.) Most people urge you to buy it, but I’m not sure why.
It's a good deal because 1&2 are usually sold together for around $5. So even if you don't like Witcher 1, you can still get Witcher 2 and be ready for the third.
The gameplay is weak, especially in combat with the sword, but the story is excellent.
