I know a spot where you can find The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut for $7. Is it a good value? I recall trying the free weekend edition on Steam, but it quickly lost its appeal. What about the visual quality? Do I have to play the original game first to grasp the story in the sequel? (It doesn't really matter since I’ll play the first one.) Most people urge you to buy it, but I’m not sure why.

$7...even if you dislike every part of the game, it wouldn<|pad|> to still be a win. Get it...it's worth it.

I believe it was discounted three dollars yesterday on Origin, together with Witcher 2, but I can't locate it today. Witcher 2 remains available for sale at a lower price, as noted on the site.

I've been using it for a week now and I really like it, except for the initial two hours when it felt dull and the frame rate was low from the FX-8350. My main core is running at full capacity while the others stay idle.

It's a good deal because 1&2 are usually sold together for around $5. So even if you don't like Witcher 1, you can still get Witcher 2 and be ready for the third.

The gameplay is weak, especially in combat with the sword, but the story is excellent.

Your system seems to be functioning well, but there might be an issue with your computer. I've got an FX-8320 connected to an R9 290 GPU, and your frame rates are consistently above 195.
