I was considering the 10GB model but ended up choosing the 12GB instead... nice to see the performance difference. It's fascinating how much RAM is being utilized.

You're checking the hardware monitoring graph under MEM. The standard "Memory usage" in MSI Afterburner only reflects allocated VRAM. To see actual program utilization, look for "GPU dedicated memory usage / process." This option provides a clearer view of real resource consumption, which can significantly impact performance insights. The most impressive example I've encountered was Cities Skylines at 4K resolution, allocating around 10GB VRAM yet using only about 2GB.

It also relies on the graphics settings. At 5876x1080 (triple screen with bezel correction), I typically use around 8GB of VRAM about 98% of the time in ACC or similar racing simulations. Cities: Skylines serves as a great case study—it often demands over 26GB of RAM, fully utilizing the VRAM of a GTX 1080 Ti and pushing a 5900X to its limits at 1080p with a city population of 550,000. It's an unusual title—requires minimal setup but struggles with performance once you reach advanced levels.

Was es wirklich speicherintensiv?
