Ah, I see. Hopefully that will see the end of the issues you have been having.
It might just be bad luck. Unless the return window is approaching soon, I'd wait until tomorrow for that replacement mobo.
I need to send it back before a specific deadline because I have a payment obligation tied to that CPU. My tolerance is low after the previous PC build and disassembly attempts.
I own a 5800X3D and Gskill cl14 with 3600 MT/s RAM, plus I faced problems with A1 and B1 initially. My system is a 4x8GB kit, and a BIOS update resolved the issue. I'm using an ROG X570-f board from ASUS. Do you have any suggestions or questions? We have quite similar builds.
Perform a test with each stick in slot A2. Could there be a faulty stick placed in slot B2 with both CPUs? Does the PC start up using both sticks in slot A2? Does the system boot with the stick you know is correct works in all slots or only A1/A2? If yes, it might indicate damage to the motherboards B1/B2 traces. Another factor to consider is the CPU pins on the motherboard. A bent or damaged pin in the correct position can lead to similar problems!
Perform a memtest using 1 stick, then use both sticks in the corresponding slots. Consider trying another RAM setup.
These sticks were part of an earlier setup, which I removed and replaced with the current build. The CPU pins appear intact. I plan to request a CPU refund and install a 5700x non-3d in the new MMO slot once it arrives. Regarding the system, I disassembled the stick only on A1/A2, and it functioned there.
