You didn’t launch it from Steam or the icons—your monitor is 1440x2560 and you set the game’s resolution to match. That should resolve the issue.

It could be that the layout doesn't work well in portrait mode, maybe it's uncertain. It seems unlikely anyone has attempted this before.
