Do you believe the power-saving mode is unnecessary? Using it on my laptop causes major slowdowns, making it impossible to stream YouTube smoothly, which really questions its purpose.

To prolong the battery's runtime, it will shut down automatically once the power cord is connected.

It helps you understand the situation and find possible solutions if you can't operate the PC.

I mentioned my laptop in the original post? If it's having trouble with power saver mode, adjust the power settings so your CPU stays above 50% of its speed—this usually makes a difference. If you're using Windows 7, try these steps: 1) Open the Start menu and look for "power save," then click "Change power-saving settings." 2) Choose "Change plan settings" under the energy saving power mode. 3) Click "Change advanced power settings." 4) In "Processor power management," set the minimum processor state to 50% instead of 5%. 5) Confirm. Look at the images below for more power-saving options.

I'm not relying on it either, though I was just saying that. I've got 8.0 installed.
