When attempting to start the second extinction in Epic Games, you encounter an error despite having a recent driver update. Check your system settings and ensure compatibility with the game version. Also, verify that your GPU drivers are correctly installed and functioning properly.

Power on in safe mode, connect via DDU, then restore the GPU drivers. Consider downloading the latest available driver from the official NVIDIA game drivers page.

I faced the same problem and received a solution from a Reddit post. The only thing I did was upgrade my Integrated Graphics Drivers on my laptop. For those with Ryzen processors, download the Auto-Detect and Install Tool from AMD (link provided) and follow the installation steps. This should resolve the issue! I believe the issue stems from the AMD software not updating itself automatically. Hope this helps you too!
