Only allows frequencies up to 2533MHz. Tried XMP settings but they didn’t work. Used 100 and 133 memory ref clocks, max multiplexer at 25.33, memory odd ratio toggled on/off or auto. No setup works.

Could you check if your motherboard supports RAM up to 2666MHz?

Your board and chip can't handle more than 2666mhz. See the specifications on the gigabyte site—this i3 isn't available for the xmp profile. The reason the chip is available now for $120 CAD is clear. I'm switching to a new system right away; it was tempting, but the i5 9400 offers better performance at nearly double the cost.

It fails to power on at 2533 MHz settings and memory ratio is not enabled. With a 24x memory multiplier and 133 MHz clock speed, the output reaches 2400 MHz.

I’d consider using a 2666 module paired with that chip or a more capable chip with your memory. Power compatibility tends to be a frequent challenge. It’s possible there’s a voltage issue with the configuration—can you modify it?
