Hello, I assembled my new machine using the MSI Mag Z790 Tomahawk yesterday. It comes with an i7-13700k processor, an RTX 3080TI and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM. The system starts up fine, the Debug LEDs flicker on and off, staying green when no installation drive is connected and turning off completely if the drive is plugged in. The main issue is that I’m not getting any video output at all. After removing the GPU, I connected both HDMI and DisplayPort directly to the board without any improvement. I reset the BIOS using the button and CMOS battery, updated the BIOS with the latest version, swapped out the RAM, tried various keyboards, cables and monitors. Anyone have a solution or similar experience? I’m not sure what to do anymore except return the board.

This shouldn't be required when using HDMI and/or built-in graphics, shouldn't it?

It wasn't suggested as a fix. If the CPU isn't a KF, the screens should display the image through the motherboard output.

It seems the system isn't responding in any way, regardless of port or device used.

Sure, I can attempt to re-seat the CPU and the cooler.

Unfortunately, nothing altered. The problem remains unchanged.

Restart the BIOS, I've faced similar problems on an even older Z390 board before. A BIOS reset typically fixed it. Also, consider removing the GPU first before attempting changes. After each modification, perform a complete reboot.

I've already reset it ten times; using GPU, not using GPU, with a device connected, without any, consistently the same.
