Last year I assembled my PC and purchased a W7 Hom Prem OEM DVD from Amazon. After installation and activation, everything worked fine for two weeks. Recently, I began receiving this notification. I run the program from Microsoft to verify my Windows, but it only offers the choice to purchase a new OS... ? Unsure: Could it be related to the new SSD or is there another issue? No, I haven't cloned any HDD OS partition onto an SSD yet.

Recent changes a few weeks back led to serious issues, including this computer failing to run genuine Windows. http://arstechnica.com/information-techn...7-updates/

My system was already running on a Samsung SSD right after I assembled my PC. This is simply another drive to boost capacity and performance.

You might want to consider a system restore using your latest Windows installation backup, or you could opt for a full reinstall. Each option has its advantages depending on how critical the issue is.

Consider performing a system restore to check if the issue persists...or simply re-entered your Windows 7 key (the method I used when facing this problem).

I re-entered your Windows key again since the issue hasn't been resolved. I'll proceed with a restore. Thanks! This actually brought a smile to my face — Hans Christian. That would be my final choice.

It's a fast procedure, you retain your information and you can install the latest software version.
