This Dell Inspiron 1525 experiences hard crashes during graphics driver loading.
He dad’s old Dell Inspiron 1525 from 2009 has a problem loading any OS unless Safe mode or Safe graphics is enabled. It seems the graphics drivers aren’t loading properly at startup. When running normally, it boots but then shows a weird white pattern and crashes abruptly as if power went out. Could be driver issues or hardware faults—maybe check the GPU settings or try a different driver. The specs show a Pentium T2330 with 4GB RAM—common for that era.
It gets worse when you might delete the hard drive, link it to another computer, and retrieve the necessary files that way. Look for the newest GPU drivers on a different machine—Vista isn't recommended for internet access. Restart in safe mode and set up using a USB drive.
I missed that there was something I could try. I have a USB to SATA adapter and could retrieve the files for my dad that way. Thanks. However, I’d like to understand why the hard crash happened.
