Hello
I switched jobs and need to upgrade from MacBook to a Windows 11 computer. I’m considering the Asus ExpertBook B7 with Intel Core i7-1195G7, but I noticed that the Q3/Q4 Asus refresh version includes the Intel® Core™ i7-1260P.
I found out that the 1260P performs better than the 1195G7, though it’s just a synthetic benchmark.
In real-world use, is the 1260P still superior to the 1195G7?
I’m mainly using my laptop for reading documentation and coding in TypeScript.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! The cache values and core counts are better suited for multitasking, even though the clock speeds are a bit lower. I’d recommend the i7-1260P since it’s a newer model compared to older technology.

We discussed the Asus ExpertBook B7. This model offers enterprise-level 5G capability and a 2-in-1 design to boost your professional performance. You can find more details at www.asus.com. The distinction between the i7-1260P and 1195G7 is noticeable, though I’m unsure if the synthetic test results fully reflect real-world performance.

When using programs designed for a twelve-core processor, the speed boost would be clear. But since your main tasks are reading and writing code, you won't see any changes.
