The CPU cooler isn't worth it since the standard one will perform similarly. The 3060 12G offers poor value. You should save on the case instead.

The 6600 is a stronger option compared to the 3060 IMO. This allows swapping the 5600 for a 7600 as well. It offers improved performance (though it's unclear if this really matters), and better upgrade potential for similar investments.

6600's absence of Vram would pose a significant challenge

I believe 8GB remains sufficient, he won't be using ultra 1440p with this configuration.

8GB is insufficient even in 1080p for many games today. With consoles offering 12GB and 16GB, most titles now require at least 12GB. For PCs focused on esports, 8GB might still work temporarily, but it’s best to skip it for longer-term use since its lifespan will be limited.

I updated the case price and found a more affordable cooler option. For GPUs under $850, consider the RTX 4060 or RX 6500 XT. Let me know if you need more details!

The stock cooler is included with the CPU, so you don't have to choose one on PCPartPicker. Hold on while I send over an improved build.

Some CPUs are sold without a built-in cooler, though the 5600 and 7600 models include one
