I set up the combo described in the title and am using "AORUS RGB Memory DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s." Without EXPO it operates at 4800MT/s, but it climbs to 6000MT/s when enabled. I’ve experienced game crashes and restarts with EXPO 1, so I switched to EXPO 2 for better stability. However, some games still crash with the code 0xC0000005, which points to RAM OC issues. It’s unclear if the problem lies with EXPO settings or with the motherboard/CPU supporting those speeds. You might consider accepting the FPS drops and running without EXPO, or test it cautiously.
The easiest approach without DDR5 speeds is to manually set them. Use UCLK=MEMCLK at 2000, 6000MT/s, CL30 for top timings, then turn on MCR and Power Down. Let it train once and that should be enough. Run ycruncher for a few hours with FFT, VST, N63, and VT3 (all memory-intensive tests). Allocate around 22GB if you have 32GB; your system will need some extra space so you can't use the full amount in Windows.
First step: Reset CMOS/Bios and run them at standard speed for a few days to confirm the problems are resolved. If they're gone, you can increase RAM speed and timings. How I handle RAM OC (based on DDR4 experience, not DDR5): - adjust a parameter - perform a quick stability check - push further - repeat after stability test [....] if it crashes or isn't stable, revert a few settings, do a longer stability test, and if issues persist, adjust slightly more then.
