Hello, I'm looking for a suitable 2K monitor. I purchased the ViewSonic VX2758A-2K-PRO-3 but it lacks height adjustment, so I switched to the Lenovo Legion 27Q-10. During some testing, I observed an unusual pixel effect. It doesn't appear black; instead, it shimmers in certain colors depending on the angle. It's most noticeable against a pure black background and doesn't show up clearly on solid white or gray interfaces like Microsoft Edge. Could this be a dead pixel? Should I consider returning the unit? Thank you ahead of time!

It resembles a zombie more than a dead pixel, which is always black. Your image looks even worse than that. Do you recall if an LCD uses subpixels? I can attempt to show various colors—Red, Green, Blue. Edited November 17, 2025 by leclod

That's a persistent issue. I'll send it back because it didn't work.

Depends on where it is located on the screen. If in the center, good chance of RMA, if it's to the side, probably not. The threshold for dead pixels is like 2-5 are acceptable depending on where they are located. You really need to check Viewsonics policy. nor necessarily, depends on where they are.

Review the newest image—it's the most vivid. I used bold blue, red, and green tones. Maybe I'm seeing things or the colors aren't really visible.

Nejdole chci jistit.

just one pixel visible, appears only on a black background... hmm, I wouldn’t wait for a replacement unless it’s perfectly centered on the screen. As I mentioned earlier, you should definitely review Viewsonic’s guidelines.

This "zombie" pixel appears only in very dark backgrounds. It’s hard to notice in regular use, but it’s still worth returning if possible.
