i've got a Thinkpad p1 here and i'm trying to fix it. it came on with no issues, just power cycling. swapped the ram out and it booted up to bios, then turned off for a while and came back after a few minutes. when i tried again, it shut down and restarted. now it's stuck in ram sticks in dimm a, but works fine with one in dimm b. bios was updated just before this happened in december 2022, and the system has been running since then. trying to change bios settings fails and doesn't save after reboot... could the old bios update be causing the problem?
