Thinking about putting a house and granny flat together? Here are some thoughts:
Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if it works to connect my granny flat to the main house using ethernet, so I can use that for internet. Basically, I want to run an ethernet cable from the main house into the granny flat. Then I'll plug in this specific product: a whole-home mesh wifi 6 gateway system at https://www.pccasegear.com/products...-a...way-system. My plan is to split the internet connection into two parts through the walls, sending one part for my living room and another for my bedroom so I can use a PC in each place. Will this product work well for that? It has three ethernet ports, right? So I would plug one from the main house, then use the other two to split the signal between the rooms? Also, since it's a mesh wifi system, does it send out a real wi fi signal too? Thanks if you guys can confirm this setup is good and efficient. Let me know what else you think or any other ideas! Cheers
You're buying a router with phone features you won't use, and there are many better options out there like the almost any Asus RT-AX model.
I see that. Yeah, I get it. That router should be a better option for what I need. https://www.pccasegear.com/products/5813...i-6-router
I think that's true. Asus' software works well, and you don't have to spend money on features you won't really need.
