You're asking about how players without DLC would be treated compared to those with it, and whether the community would divide into groups similar to existing DLC owners. It's also about whether non-DLC players could still access certain DLC items.

Most players still prefer non-DLC maps, though a few servers may prioritize DLC content. The premium package is worth it if you love BF1—just wait for the price to fall before purchasing. Avoid buying DLC through DLC, and note that the BF1 sale (50% off at Origin) ends today at 10 AM PDT.

The Premium pass isn’t currently available for purchase, though the game bundles are. I’ve got the deluxe version and spent a lot of time on it, but the premium pass costs around sixty dollars.

The upcoming DLC is expected to launch with a patch that will add all the content available unless it’s already in the client. This update may also introduce balance adjustments, modifications to the ribbon/medal system, and fresh Battlepack skins for everyone. Paid maps and weapons remain separate from this release. If the implementation resembles past DLC experiences, you’ll notice a marker next to servers hosting the new maps, preventing access. In earlier titles, players often rushed to try the new maps during their initial launch phase, only to see them removed after rotations. Current signals suggest they’re adopting a similar approach to previous DLC strategies, such as Battlefield 3, 4, and Battlefront, including map packs in Bad Company 2. DICE might recognize the impact on player communities, but it appears EA prioritizes revenue. It seems the negative effects don’t justify the financial gain.
