I only want to use your software, Microsoft!!!!!1 I own both a laptop and a desktop and need to sync an extremely large folder from a USB drive. Unfortunately, the 18GB file is there when I started uploading it. Probably I thought I could just delete everything on my primary drive and restart the next day... I make sure to disable sync before deleting all files. The following day I opened my laptop to see the upload happening again... FROM WHERE?!? My USB isn’t connected and sync is still OFF! I uninstalled it from my laptop, then checked my desktop where I reinstalled OD (again) – it’s repeating the same issue. HOW??!?!? Now I’ve removed it from both computers, but I know this will happen again if I install it on either one. Is there a solution? I’m okay trying one more time before switching to something better.
This appears to be a computer with a Rossman audio interface. The greying out of settings during pauses suggests it's designed for quiet operation.
Based on what I've seen, removing OneDrive can really cut down on your time and stress. I recommend trying alternatives such as Google Drive (15GB free) or Sync.com (5GB free with upgrades). OneDrive has been problematic for many users due to its questionable Windows integration, which is why I'm not interested in using it anymore. Hope this helps.
It's interesting how OD works with file explorer and offers a native Windows feel. While Google Drive is solid, it doesn’t quite meet my needs. I’m considering other options and will evaluate them carefully—only if they’re strong enough, I’d be willing to pay. It seems Microsoft’s approach to OD makes it feel less valuable unless you invest in it.
