I recall hearing about a company offering a bloated edition of Windows 10 aimed at gamers, or possibly providing post-Win 10 support beyond its end-of-life. Anyone else have similar memories?

You made the right call, but Vista has its advantages. The recent updates mean older programs can’t run anymore… Still, Windows 10 seems to be handling newer software better so far.
