Many people are familiar with the 4:3 aspect ratio offering a good balance between image quality and performance. I recently adjusted my custom resolution to 1440:1080, achieving a high-quality experience with a nearly full 1920 FOV, higher frame rates, and the smoothness we all appreciate in 4:3. Give it a try if you haven't already. Setup

In short, it doesn’t really matter much if you’re skilled at the game—your performance stays strong regardless of latency issues. Still, any advantage that makes playing easier or better is worth supporting. Whenever I play Dota 2 on a CRT, I seem to get more wins, though I’m not sure why.

You're absolutely correct about how small details matter between skilled competitors. Those tiny factors can shift the outcome, especially when timing is crucial. Placebo effects also play a significant role.

It seems like you're suggesting that thinking about improvement can help you perform better. That makes sense!

Back then, gaming was all about passion—people felt like deities in competitive play. When Razer launched its first mouse and CRTs ran at just 100Hz, the scene was raw and unfiltered. It was similar to Quake days, CS 1.6 era, and even Starcraft.

The video explains how boosting the frame rate can impact performance, possibly due to real effects or placebo responses.
