I initially wondered if turning off absolute volume would help, but manually boosting the earbud volume makes sense. It seems unusual for "high quality earbuds" to be so quiet—100% volume on these feels like only 20-30% on my Beats Solo Pro headphones.

Do you have an equalizer active? I noticed with my ears that increasing bass too much can significantly reduce the overall volume.

I just tried it on a Mac and noticed it's significantly louder there compared to my Windows laptop—about three times quieter.
