Extend your gigabit network to a 20-meter distance for your new home office. You already have the single Ethernet cable installed. This setup seems efficient, but ensure PC2 gets full gigabit performance. Check if your listed devices are suitable for this distance and speed. If not, consider alternatives to avoid high costs.

Using Cat5e is okay. If your router is a gigabit model and you're getting traffic from a server and access point, you won't be able to get the full gigabit speed from pc2 because the limit is 1 gigabit. But the overall speed will stay at 1 gigabit throughout the network connected to the switch.

Cat 5e supports speeds of 1 Gbps over distances up to 100 meters. Just a note. @MrSuper technically PC 2 might reach gigabit speeds, but keep in mind the connection is shared among all devices. From a technical standpoint, the link from your main router to the switch operates at 1 Gbps, so it’s unlikely one device will consume the full bandwidth simultaneously and cause a bottleneck. However, if that happened, you could overload the Cat5e link and run into problems. Personally I prefer sticking with what’s available. If saturation occurs, consider upgrading to 10 Gbps equipment, which can be quite costly. A 10 Gig NIC starts around $100, plus switches and Cat 6a cabling.

That's exactly what I intended to say. You did a great job clarifying it for me.
