Sandy Bridge microarchitecture came out in 2011. Ivy Bridge followed in 2012. My CPU is an Intel Xeon E3-1270 running Sandy Bridge, and the board I’m using has started to fail. I was searching for compatible replacements like H61, B65, Q65, etc. But Wikipedia confirms that both Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge chipsets work with this CPU. To stay ahead, can I just switch to an Ivy Bridge board such as B75, Q75, Q77, H77, Z75 or Z77? I’ll need to verify the CPU compatibility on each model.

Yes, they do. My setup serves as a demonstration of that.

They're priced too high on eBay for my requirements. The most affordable options are the three lowest listed. It seems I'll go with H61 since I just need a simple motherboard replacement.

These boards have enough age to begin showing issues, and H61 models are the most affordable among them. You shouldn't count on them lasting very long.
