These outcomes seem typical for a stress test.
Starting tests on any system for the first time, unsure what I was checking for. They said 85°C is the limit and anything higher could be an issue. I ran a couple of 20-minute sessions and didn’t see any crashes, but no reports seem to explain much. It was a quick 2-minute CPU test just to take a screenshot, which hit around mid-90s. Is this something to worry about? Didn’t I apply enough thermal paste? The Peerless Assassin 120 SE Cinebench scores were 1107 for multi and 118 for single, with a 9.37 MP ratio—what does that all mean?
Mid-90s temperatures are ideal for a 7700x during stress tests. You can even reach these temps while playing intense games. This is completely normal and not a cause for concern. The Ryzen 7000 CPU's have a default temperature of 95°C before they start limiting clocks or power. Check out the thread I wrote about where I explained more details and linked two videos that clarify why this is typical.
