Received the Ryzen 5 3600x recently. I've observed inconsistent idle temperatures—sometimes around 39, other times spiking to 48 or higher, and occasionally staying between 50-55 without any clear cause. For reference, my GTX 970 runs steady at 30-33°C all the time, while my motherboard is an MSI MEG X570 with 16GB G.SKILL 3600MHz RAM and a case. This setup is stable at around 74°C during full load in Cinebench R20. Is this typical behavior or should I be concerned?

It's normal. Your processor isn't completely inactive; it's actively working. Running at 74°C under full load is quite efficient.
