Hello, welcome! I’m just starting out with overclocking and had my 8600k reach 4.7Ghz with a 2 AVX offset at 1.290V. Before purchasing the H100i Platinum, I used a Hyper-212 and reached about 75-80°C during Prime95 with a 3 AVX offset. Recently, after getting the H100i, I increased my AVX offset to 2, achieving around 4.5Ghz instead of 4.4Ghz. When I ran Prime95, temperatures stayed in the low 70s and high 60s. I’m curious if these readings are suitable for a balanced mode on the H100i. This is my first overclock attempt, so I’d like to know if it was a solid one. Thanks!
Prime95 is not suitable for practical use, it's an extreme test, so those temperatures are perfectly acceptable!
Maintain the OC temperature below 85°C. There is still some margin.
