The Pentium might limit your performance, but an i5 4690k looks solid for gaming and should cost around $200. You probably won’t reach top-end speeds with a 960 or 380; the 480 model is still upcoming and I’m using a R9 270 where I barely hit 60 at high settings. If you can save a bit, wait and consider a 1070—expected to be about $370 when better cards appear and demand eases. It’s far ahead of a 970 or 390x, so it’s a smart long-term choice.
